Today I decided to share my outdoor patio furniture with everyone. My husband and I currently live in a small apartment, so space is quite limited. Since the the weather is starting to cool down, we decided it was the perfect time to purchase some outdoor furniture. I purchased this furniture set from IKEA ($150 for the table and 2 chairs). If anyone has a small outdoor patio like us, this set is practical and perfect. I love that I can just fold up the table and chairs and take it inside after we use it (I only take it inside if the weather outside is not looking too promising). I also like that the table is expandable and can seat up to 4 people, making it a great option for larger outdoor spaces. Now on to the fun part...sprucing up this outdoor furniture set by adding a little touch of decor.

Here are some tips for creating a cozy outdoor space:

1. Add a touch of decor: I don't know about y'all, but when I was in IKEA, I felt like I could spend all day in the decor section. I came across this vase and artificial flower and added it to the table to give the outdoor space a homey feel.

2. Find some practical, fun tableware. The hubs and I love breakfast and morning coffee, so when I spotted these cute mugs at Anthropologie, I had to purchase!

3. Search for comfortable chair cushions. I found these online at Target, and to my luck they were both comfortable and stylish. Immediate purchase !!

Since we only unfolded one section of the table, I had to be selective with the items I purchased because of the small table space. I've linked everything on the table below except for the coasters and bakeware (I found these in the store at Anthropologie, unable to find online). I hope this post will provide you with some outdoor inspiration for creating a cozy outdoor space of your own. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

I'm so excited to announce that I was one of Jen's (blogger at Letters and Pearls) nominations for the Liebster award. This award is given to new bloggers by other bloggers to support and promote each other. Thanks so much Jen, I'm so glad to have found you! Your blog is seriously amazing :) Go check out her blog at Letters and Pearls.

The Rules:
1. Post your award to your blog.
2. Answer the questions that you were given from the person who nominated you.
3. Nominate a few new bloggers you've discovered.
4. Create 10 new questions for the nominees.
5. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link a post to their blog.

My Questions from Jen:

1. What is your morning routine?

First, I must admit I snooze my alarm 2-3 times, then I finally have to convince myself I need to get up lol. My morning routine is actually nothing exciting, just consists of making a big breakfast and coffee, getting ready, and taking our pup outside before heading off to work :)

2. Who is your style icon?

Okay, celebrity style icon would have to be Sarah Hyland (obsessed with her chic, sophisticated style). I would also have to say the first blogger I ever started to follow a few years ago ( Haute off the Rack). I follow her for her great sense of fashion and also for some design inspiration.

3. What is your favorite food?

SUSHIIIII... yummmm

4. Coffee or tea?

Coffee of course ( I think I'm addicted !)

5. If you were rushing out of the door and could only wear one beauty product, what would it be?

Honestly, I don't wear makeup to work. But on the weekends, I would never leave home without eyeliner!

6. How would you describe your style in 3 words?

Ahh, I feel like this is a hard one because I like different styles for different occasions. If I had to pick 3 words, I would say chic, edgy, spontaneous

7. If you could purchase any designer item, what would it be?

Valentino rockstud leather tote (obsessed with anything Valentino)

8. Name 3 places you would like to travel to.

Greece, Costa Rica, Italy

9. What is your wardrobe staple?

Distressed denim !! I love comfy distressed denim because it pairs well with everything and it's easy to dress up or down.

10. Why did you start your blog?

I started my blog to share my love for fashion and my job as an Occupational Therapist.  Also, I started the blog right when the hubs and I moved to AZ. I figured it would be a great way to meet new people and connect with people who share similar interests.

My nominations:

Michele from Classic and Gray
Annie from Collective passions
Cassandra from Classy by Cass

Questions for the nominees:

1. Describe yourself in 3 words.
2. What is your favorite topic to blog about?
3. What is your idea of a perfect weekend?
4. What is your favorite trend this Fall season?
5. If you could purchase one designer item, what would it be?
6. Red wine or white?
7. Who is your favorite blogger that you go to for inspiration?
8. What is your favorite store to shop at?
9. What is your favorite hobby?
10. Last but not least, lets talk celebrity crush :)

I've found myself reminiscing over the past few days of our Mexico vacation, so in honor of throwback Thursday, I decided to post my favorite dress from our trip. I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to break out this fancy dress (because who doesn't like being fancy? haha). I decided that this green asymmetrical hemline dress paired with these leopard heels would be the perfect outfit for a fun filled dinner. I'm sorry to say that I've searched online everywhere for the dress and shoes, but they are both sold out! The good news is is that I've linked this stylish necklace and similar shoes below. What are some of y'alls favorite dresses for fun occasions?! Would love to hear :)

Hey everyone! I wanted to share this oh so comfy, casual look on the blog today. I wore this on our flight to Mexico. The hubs and I decided to take a much needed vacation to Puerto Vallarta (I highly recommend it, if you're looking for an amazing spot in Mexico). I'm looking back and laughing at these pictures, thinking of the events that unfolded prior to our departure. We took these pictures before heading to the airport. Thankfully, we left our apartment earlier than normal because we barely caught our flight! First, my husband lead us to the wrong terminal, then I got triple checked in security because they saw "what appears to be metal in my groin area" after going through the scanner (so much for my comfy jeans that are good for traveling!). Finally, we made it to the gate but couldn't board the plane because I wasn't assigned a seat number. After all of that, they overbooked our flight and told us we might not make it to Mexico that day. At this point, I was on the verge of having a major freakout moment but they called my name and gave me the last seat on the plane. The good news is that we made it to Mexico, but the events leading up to the departure gave me major anxiety! I hope y'all are having a great weekend :)

Hey y'all! I realize this is another post involving leather shorts lol but I just can't get enough of leather lately (and these shorts are less than $20!!). I decided to stick with a simple color scheme so my jewelry and shoes could be the focus.  Speaking of jewelry, I recently received this necklace, rings, and earrings in the mail from Solid Treasures and I absolutely love them! I love how Kendria (the jewelry designer) handcrafts each piece specifically for her customers. This necklace is called the quartz bar necklace and is made of sterling silver with a quartz crystal attached. I love the description on her website which states how clear quartz is known as the "master healer, absorbing and regulating energy and drawing off negative energy of all kinds." I paired this dainty necklace with these stack rings and sterling silver studs. These are actually three different rings, but I decided to stack them together. They could also be styled with additional rings, which I will definitely be posting in later blog posts. Hope y'all are having a great week and thanks for reading :)

Hey everyone! I had to share these fabulous lace leather shorts.  They are so much fun. If you live in hotter climates, these shorts are a Fall must have (especially since they are less than $50)! I love these shorts because I can still dress for Fall even when the temps are 90 + degrees haha. I apologize ahead of time for all of my upcoming posts of leather and suede (I'm a little obsessed with leather and suede this season). Speaking of suede, how cute are these lace up shoes? Just a heads up, the color says blush, but they are more of a nude color. They were super comfy when I first tried them on, but I did notice I got blisters after doing quite a bit of walking Downtown (I'm praying I just need to break them in since they are brand new).  Hope y'all are having a great weekend :)
